This Privacy Policy explains how Short Term Rentals Florida (the “Platform,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website. By using the Platform you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. When you create a Host account we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
• Listing information. Property details, photos, pricing, location/neighborhood, and the contact name, phone number, and email you choose to publish.
• Messages and inquiries. When a Renter contacts a Host, we collect the Renter’s name, email, and message so we can deliver it to the Host and show it in the Host’s dashboard.
• Usage data. Basic technical information such as pages viewed and approximate device/browser information.

2. How we use information

• To operate the Platform and display listings;
• To connect Renters with Hosts and deliver inquiry messages;
• To authenticate accounts and keep them secure;
• To process listing-fee payments;
• To send service-related and notification emails; and
• To comply with law and enforce our Terms.

3. How we share information

• With other users. Listing contact details you publish are visible to Renters, and inquiry details are shared with the relevant Host. This is the core purpose of the Platform.
• With service providers. We use third parties for email delivery, image/object storage, and payment processing, who handle data on our behalf.
• For legal reasons. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights and users.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies and sessions

We use a single secure, HTTP-only session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use it for advertising.

5. Data retention

We retain account, listing, and message data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including hashing passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices

You may access or update your account information, remove your listings, or request deletion of your account by contacting us. Renters may ask us to remove an inquiry they submitted.

8. Children

The Platform is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy; material changes are reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
